Things in my Garden!!!

These are some of the beautiful frangipani flowers from my garden - they have been so great this year! So tropical!I love to put them in a float bowl or a big long vase - just to show the off!! I have my plans to get a couple more tree's put in - Just need to figure out where!! This is my little Austin.... ok ok BIG Austin! He's not fat, just really fluffy... and the fluff weighs a lot...

This is my favourite spot - on a nice calm evening this spot is magic with candles glowing - or during the day when its hot, I can sit under the shade of the grapevine and read the paper and enjoy the serenity! My Sister in law Trace kinda gave us these fushia's (in a long roundabout fashion!) They have been fantastic and this year have been quite prolific - so much so that I had to have words with it - using my secateurs! (that is how you spell it isn't it??)

Hi Lilly-beth!

So many creatures and critters hiding in the garden here - careful where you step!

This is Mr Mungo man! He is a statue we bought with a wedding voucher present from my friend Lynda - don't know that she knows about him yet... hmmm?.

PS: Lynda... we love him! He's so great in our little "tropical area" of the garden!

mosaic fish

This is a mosaic that I have been working on lately, its a lot bigger
than anything I have done before.
I am pretty pleased with how it turned out. These photos were taken before I grouted the peice
I love these colours - they worked really well together.
This is Dave giving me a hand... helpful chap to have around he is!

TA-DA!!!

And this is the finished product!

PS: the fish I picked up for $2 at a trash n treasure stall!

(I loves a bargain!)

mosaics continued

I said when I had some piccie's of my new room finished that I would put them up

A little pile of "creative junk" - stuff that I may find useful...

cos I am not allowed to leave lying stuff lying around the house like this, but in my room I can do whatever I want!!!! mwah hahaha

Yep - I even have a TV and Video

I love having to something to listen to, or watch, while I work away at whatever project I am doing - I usually have a about three different projects on the go... sometimes its easier to get them all to the same stage of grouting and then seal them all at the same time - lot less waste and hassle!!I like it when Dave comes in to visit, and sometimes he helps me out - which is cool!

As you might be able to tell -I am really pleased with my little place..

summer fun

My fears of the pool not getting used enough this year were unfounded!Me and Chanel after Kyles Birthday!
she makes for a handy shield!
Check out the super flying boy!!
Meet Porpoise Pete!
for some reason we always need to refill the pool after they all visit
...Hmmm why is that???

how much fun does this look Jake??

This Summer Dave got to play on a really neat Jetski, we were invited to go with our cousins in Perth. However the January weather kinda let us down....

looks like winter doesn't it Oscar?

Reilly hits the big 7

Happy Birthday to Reilly

His birthday was on Friday - he had party at the pool, with a big blow-up play thing on the pool, although I didn't have my camera to record it - it looked like heaps of fun.

Hope the rest of your Birthday was fun too!!

KOJONUP

Dave and I headed east from AUGUSTA

through Bridgetown with their oversized wheelbarrows... neverdid find out what they were for... hmmm

and on we went through a million and one locusts. Here is that 'one'.... cute huh?
We stayed a couple of days with our friends Bomber and Lisa at the farm that they are managing. They looked after us so well and it brilliant to spend some time catching up with them.

This is Black, the imaginatively named dog, poor little one, she had recently been in a little accident when the ute went round a corner and she didn't.

this is us - all packed up and ready to roll.... back up to Perth!

Margaret River

We enjoyed a lovely lunch at The Leewuin Estate Winery, its here they hold the annual concert that hordes of people trek south for.

Dave enjoyed the wine -

I enjoyed the coffee
and we both wished we had more time to truly enjoy the surrounds, but as it was we barely had time to devour our lunch, for we had an appointment at the Hanu Day Spa.....

mmmm.... and it was truly sublime.

Further south

After a game of golf (Dave, Mick, Neil and Sarah) and a spot of fishing we headed off a little further south to a great camping spot near Margaret River - I dont quite know how we got there exactly as I was asleep most of the time! oops.

But when I woke up we were there, and the spot was beautiful, surrounded by natural bush and native birds kamakazi-ing through. These blue wrens made quite a few appearances - especially when there were breadcrumbs for the pickings!

look carefully - he's in there!

There was a great swimming hole - a part of the Margaret River - there were freshwater mussels and marron, though we didn't try to catch any of them. The dogs came for swims with us too - they belong to our friends Neil and Sarah who we travelled with for a bit.

it was a great location and it was my favourite spot

Oh, by the way,

this is Neil...

as you can see he is a most refined manicured type of gentleman

sorry ladies - this one is taken!
